Remember the Stephen King movie (or book) Pet Cemetery? The one where there was an old burial ground and if you buried someone or something there, it would come back to life, only it would be different?? First the cat died and they buried it, and when it came back it was nasty and mean. Then the little boy died and in desperation, the father buried him, only when he came back he was like a little Chucky running around with his dad’s surgical knife. Remember??

We just picked up my car from the shop, and I’m fairly certain this is a similar situation. She’s alive, but she ain’t the same. Something feels wrong…maybe like the cat in Pet Cemetery, but not as bad as the little boy.

She’s hissing at me, but at least she’s not trying to slice open my Achilles tendon with a surgical knife.

We’ll see if old Jud is right…maybe dead is better.

So I occasionally check out my blog stats, and by occasionally, I mean constantly. I particularly enjoy seeing the search engine terms (the words you type in when you search for something online) people use to stumble upon my blog. Sometimes they crack me up (why would someone google “I’m so hot shoutout” is a mystery to me…sorry if that was you) and sometimes they weird me out (the unharnessed breasts one in particular).

And sometimes, they make me feel pretty good.

Today’s best:

I’d like to think that’s me.

Christian.

Real.

Alive.

I don’t normally use exclamation points in my blog titles (I keep it to periods, and lots of em), but this blog warrants an exclamation point! Maybe even seven!!!!!!!

My car has been brought back to life! Raised from the dead!! RESURRECTED!!

And it only cost us $210!!

EXCLAMATION POINTS!!!!!!

(however, in light of yesterdays events, we may still sell her and purchase a new-to-me car…stay tuned)

Not only did I rally for the midnight showing of the The Dark Knight, which by the way was AWESOME AND TOTALLY WORTH IT, but lo and behold, Tim’s parents joined us! And as I told Tim as we waited in line amidst hundreds, maybe thousands of teens, I was glad they came or I would have definitely been the oldest person there.

Our heads hit the pillow around 3:30 this morning. Getting up was a struggle, but it was fun and worth it (talk to me later today and see if I’m still feeling the same).

Go see the movie this weekend. It rocked.
