I don’t know how you old you are or what you grew up watching on TV, but for me, Saved by the Bell is one of those horrendous shows that I knew was bad even as a kid, but I still watched it. Even to this day, if I happen upon it and no one’s around to make fun of me, I can’t turn it off. It’s like a car accident on the side of the road…I just can’t help but look.

And now that Tim and I have replaced cable with a digital antenna that picks up…wait for it…2 channels, I have a new Saved by the Bell.

It’s a little ditty called CSI: Miami.

And it’s awful.

I don’t know what happened…CSI Las Vegas is great, and CSI New York ain’t bad. But CSI Miami, it’s about as bad as it gets.

And the real shame of it all is that whenever it’s on, I CAN’T TURN IT OFF.

And here’s the real kicker. This show, according to something I just read on DIGG (which means it’s gotta be true), is the #1 show IN THE WORLD. As if David Hasselhoff and Jerry Springer haven’t given us a bad enough name, now we’ve got David Caruso (or Horatio, as I know him) representing American culture to the rest of the world.

Here’s what I mean.

Of course, who am I to talk trash. I’m helping their ratings every Monday night…

[sigh]

Sweet, sweet vacation is less than a month away.

In just 26 days, Tim and I (and some other friends/family members) will be at this undisclosed location…

OH YEAHHHHHH!!!!

raw.

When it comes to music, I admittedly prefer a raw, unpolished sound. I’d much prefer to hear someone belt it our from their gut than hear Celine Dion hit a high note…I like an untrained voice, one that makes you want to cry. I’m a big fan of musicians like Ray LaMontagne, and I’ve recently become a big fan of this guy, Paolo Nutini.
